Charles A. Parker, Master Photographer, Craftsman,
In 1980 Charles started his career in photography by taking a course on large format photography in Southern California. From there he went on to concentrating his efforts by attending and graduating second in his class from the Rhode Island School of Photography. Today his work has appeared in such publications as Architectural Digest, Builder Magazine, Business Week and Cigar Aficionado, Brew Your Own & WineMaker Magazines. His clients range from small businesses to large corporations such as Toshiba, i3 and ESPN.
Illustrations, Studio and Location photography are his chosen specialties and his range of knowledge keeps him busy speaking to and judging for other professional photographic associations. He is known by his peers as one of the finest photographers in New England and receives many awards for his images each year. Over the last few years he has had several of his images accepted into the PPA Loan Collection and has been awarded the Vermont High Level of Excellence Award from Vermont Professional Photographers.
He has earned the Masters of Photography Degree (all print merits) and the Photographic Craftsman Degree from the Professional Photographers of America. In 1996 the Professional Photographers of America gave Charles their highest honor and awarded him through the Vermont Professional Photographers, the National Award for his service to the profession of photography over the years. He also serves as an international judge (one of only two commercial photographers in New England) for the Professional Photographers of America. Charles is a three term past president of the Vermont Professional Photographers and is currently serving as a PPA Councilor from Vermont.
